I lost my Northern Inuit a week before Christmas. She was coming up 14.She was a wonderful dog. It takes a good 2 YEARS for them to mature, but its worth it. They love to dig, so consider getting a large sandpit. They also like a " bolt hole" so they have somewhere where they can be alone and undisturbed. Mine had her own pool, so she would just stand in it to cool down, or if we had been for a walk and she had dirty feet, I'd just tell her to wash her feet and she'd just hop in. She was VERY clever and eager to please. I miss her dreadfully.
My advice, if you've got the time( not at work all the time) then they are well worth the effort. At the end of the day you've got the best dog around.
