Puppy poop

Have a labradoodle puppy aged 4 months. Came to us on doctor johns puppy food however he was not having any solid poops. Tried just the kibble with no other treats but no luck. Sent stool sample to the vets and no issues. Have changed to harringtons turkey and rice puppy food just over a week ago and they seem to be worse, less formed, more light brown and with an odour. How long do we leave him on the new food to get good effect? And any recommendations for puppy food for this kind of thing??

Did you just switch out the food completely, or reduce the original food bit by bit whilst adding in the new food?

We use 50% butternut box food : 50% Burns kibble and we have solid poos.,

All of the puppy foods I have come across recently have alot of chicken in them.

A previous dog had really bad issues with chicken based food and my current girl seems to have a similar problem, my pup hasn't been great with it either.

Don't switch again too quickly but it may be worth considering another form of protein as the base of their food.

We use Forthglade, and the first poo of the morning is like shitting bricks for the boy; it should express his anal glands nicely.
