I changed my dogs diet abruptly a week ago to home made like chicken and rice, and I thought she would be fine because it’s better for her. but she’s had diarrhoea for a week now and there’s no sign of it stopping. I am having to give her a bath several times a day to wash her hair and also clean the floor after her and it’s breaking me. Is it better to just give her water and no food and stop feeding her

No. Stop giving her random human food and get her seen at a vet. Somewhere will have an appointment, you just need to keep calling. I got my cat seen within 45 minutes this morning and he was nowhere near as unwell as your dog seems to be.

She is doing much better on the pro kolin. She’s more like herself already.

And the possible damage done to her bowels as a result of what you did? Have you seen a vet about that? And have you corrected her diet back?

Why did you choose to change her diet? Dogs and nutrition is very complicated so unless your dog is end of life and not eating dog food or you’ve been trained in nutrition then please just find a commercial food that suits her.
