Dog bitten by a fox five days ago - what do we need to do??

Our wee dog had a tussle with a fox in our garden five days ago - fox was running away and then turned on him. We checked him we thought very carefully at the time and could find nothing.

Today I found a wee scab falling off and a healthy looking puncture wound so can only assume this was the cause.

Do we need to do anything? He is not in distress, and we see the vet in any case in 10 days time.... but perhaps we are missing something?

Photos attached.

Huge thanks for your advice!

Are you not worried about rabies? I would call the vet first thing in the morning.

Phone your vet in the morning and see what they advise. They may bring your appointment forward if needed

I wouldn’t worry op. It looks fine. Just keep an eye on it.
