My dogs head stinks

It’s really wierd, the top of his head smells like rubber (or something I can’t quite put my finger on?) and it’s just his head - everywhere else smells normal

Google has suggested ear infection, but he’s not remotely worrying about his ears?

Will phone number the vet Monday (I’m like Mrs Pomphrey I swear 😳)

Has anyone else experienced similar? I love to kiss his scrummy little head, but it makes my nose crinkle 😳😳😳

Does he stick his head in bushes or clumps of grass on a walk? My girl does , and clearly there have been times when a taller animal has peed on said bush 🤢
She needs a thorough wash down with shampoo and a cloth some days. And I have learned not to kiss her head .

Thank you, what did your dog smell like? I asked my neighbour, and he smelt DDog head and said he just smells of dog (but I guess it was a random request 😂😂)

Dumb question but have you washed his head?

Lift his ears and have a look in them, also if there is an infection the smell may get worse?
Chances are he's rubbed it on something smelly and just needs his head washed.

Are you sure he hasn't...rubbed his head on rubber?

It was a stench...smelt off. I could smell him a metre away.

Does his head wag a lot when he's happy? There's a chance you're sniffing the wrong end...

My dog has a very distinctive rubbery smell if he eats or rolls in rabbit poo.
