Weight loss but ravenous

Our lovely 9 year old boy is booked in for an abdominal ultrasound on Friday as he’s been losing weight despite being absolutely ravenous all of the time. No changes to food or portion sizes for years, clear blood test apart from slightly raised monocytes (expected as he’s on immunotherapy for his allergies), no behavioural changes and no problems with toileting (apart from the usual breed specific stubbornness!). Just wondered if anyone else has been through this as it seems like forever to wait and I’m already spinning to worst case scenario! Thanks

Just to add when I say clear blood test, biggies like diabetes, Cushing’s and thyroid have been checked and no indication of any of these, just slightly elevated monocytes

I had this happen to me when I was 19, and it turned out to be a stomach ulcer x
