Slight dog allergy?

Can anyone help? I am childminding for my DDiL and she has a beautiful dog with very short moulting fur. Last year I spent 6 weeks childminding, with most weekends doing my own thing away from her house, however, I noticed on the few occasions I spent 9 days or more in her house, my eyes become terribly itchy and eye drops didn’t help and I had a slight runny nose. As soon as I go home, within 2 days, everything is back to normal!
Here again and woke up this morning, day 8, and I can’t open my right eye it’s swollen, sore and itchy. I will go and get an eye bath today to see if it helps but I’m worried because she relies on me.
Luckily, I go home soon but it is getting worse. It took 9 days the previous time but I felt the itch coming on yesterday.
Give me hope it’s not the dog! 😢

Hayfever particularly bad -my eyes are a mess. Crusty, itchy and red.
There was actually a thread on the same last week-lots of ppl stuggling.

It might be that there is some allergen triggering you and then adding the dog on top tips you over the edge when it wouldn't ordinarily bother you.

Opticrom hay fever eye drops offer some relief.

Are you taking antihistamines? They’d be my first go to

You also get a product called petal cleanse that you put on the pet, no clue how well it works but it might be worth a try

Thank you, both. I can’t take any antihistamines they knock me out, even the non-drowsy ones!
I will get some of the products you both recommend to see if they work.
Obviously, I’ll check with my DDiL before I spray the dog with anything.
Thank you again, your answers are very much appreciated.😀
