We're expecting our first little one in May but we currently have a labrador, Mia, who comes most places with us, she's pretty chill.
I have no concerns about taking Mia out with the pram but I am concerned about getting the pram and the dog to places.
I drive a Kia Sportage and Mia currently just rides in the boot which is rather spacious but how am I going to manage that with putting a pram in there as well?
Any tips would be appreciated as I'd like to avoid Mia having to ride on the backseat if I can help it mostly for the sake of trying to keep the car clean!!

Can you deconstruct the pram and have it on the floor in the back seat? That’s what I did! My cars bigger but I used to do three dogs in the boot and a cheapo pram I could break apart on the back seat on the floor. Unless your dogs in a crate in the boot I’d be worried about the pram hitting her!

How big is the pram, will if fit one side of a boot divider like this?

One of the smallest boots we looked at. Also crap access as not flat.

Ooh I think this could be what I need! I'm so worried about her getting tangled up with the pram in the boot.
Where would I find one of these? This may be a task for the husband to look into and have a measure up

Definitely not an issue of space for us. We have comfortably travelled 4 large labradors in there when I was dog sitting for my parents and it carried our overly large suitcases and carry ons to the airport easily enough. In my opinion the boot is definitely spacious enough, I'm not sure what you are needing to put in your boot if you thought it was too small but it's definitely more than I need to be getting around on a daily basis! For us, it's more a case of making sure that things are secure enough for Mia to be comfortable in there as well.

We had a travall one in our last car. They're not cheap but was worth it for us so that dog and luggage were separated.

Slightly outing but I think this can help you

Here is a 2023 kia sportage with a transk9 C42 crash tested dog crate with...(Outing bit) a full size hard cello case along side it. How tall is a cello case you ask? Approx 4ft 5" so you can see I dropped the singular rear seat for the cello.

Hope this helps! (Assume your pram is not over 4 feet!)

P.s wouldn't travel any other way with dog now. Car crate worth the investment. If I am going to put her in the boot I at least owe it to her to make it safe from accidents.
