My poor pup (4yo WCS) has infected sacs. She goes about every 6 weeks for expressing at vet’s as they’re not quite in the right place so don’t empty by themselves. We add extra fibre to meals and we add fresh veg to her food.
Vet is going to sedate her to clear them out and then she’ll get antibiotics. What should I expect afterwards? Grogginess and maybe sickness? Not been given guidance on what to feed after sedation - does anyone have any advice?
She currently has some anti inflammatory gel and she seems so happy after it’s been applied, so it must feel relieving.
Will warm compresses help too afterwards (I usually do this once a week anyway to give her some relief.
