What's going on with my dog...bottom issues

My dog has been scooting off and on for the past month or two...go to vet, get anal glands emptied. Potential infection two weeks ago so put on antibiotics, back on Friday to get checked now tablets are finished and get emptied again - no sign of infection. Great. 24 hours later and she is scooting again...what else can be going on? 4 year old female dog. Any advice welcome, suppose I'll be back to the vet again this week...

Have you checked for worms?

Anal gland issues are often caused by diet. We had the same and the vet recommended a grain free food and her anal gland issues stopped.

Now it’s been a few times needing them drained the vets should really start to look into the cause

When was the last time you wormed her?

Ours had issues with his anal glands - we seemed to solve it by giving him a dental chew everyday.

Consider underlying allergic skin disease, lots of anal sac issues are related to this, have a chat with your vet about it. Does your dog lick their paws at all? Or have ear infections etc?

Is she due in season?

Alternatively inwouldnswapmher to a grain free diet and see how that settles her. Our old girl is 16 and used to do this a lot til inswitched her to grain free.

She is already on a grain free food and is wormed regularly. She is neutered also. She does have a skin condition which affects her paw pads so I wonder if it is now also affecting her in/around her bottom 😕

We use CLX wipes on our dog when he’s itching. Recommended by the vet. Might be worth speaking to your vet to check they’d be ok to try. Also ask them about giving your dog Piriton.
Fish oil is good for their skin / coat or evening primrose oil, might be worth adding that to their diet.
