Help needed with ideas for my dog

I am really stuck today on what to do with my greyhounds dog walks, does anyone have any suggestions?

My son has a temperature of 40 and is really too poorly to be out with me today. I usually bring him and my toddler with me when my husband is working.

My husband is working today and I don't know how I'm going to walk my dog. He works 6:30am-pm so he's gone now and won't be back until at least 7pm.

My dog usually has at least 2 walks a day.

I've messaged my friend who is a dog walker and a dog walker I've never used before.

Does anyone else have any other ideas? I've got no childcare sadly. Thanks.

There's an app called rover which allows you to find dog walkers in your area, you book a walk and pay via the app (this is if you have no joy with your dog Walker friend - they will have reviews/ratings). You could also search on local social media for other local dog walkers.

It won't hurt the dog to miss a walk. As long as he / she can relieve himself / herself. Being a greyhound, I expect that he / she will be happy to have an extra hour of sleep.

The dog will be fine missing a walk for one day. Hope your son feels better soon.

Thanks everyone. I know what people are saying about missing a walk but I'm really keen to avoid that if possible and he's young and I just really want the best for him. Will see how today goes

I would just keep him home with you - much less stressful than sending him out with a stranger.

He'll be fine without walk until your DH gets back tonight.

My friend who is a dog walker can walk him! Such a relief. He knows and likes her.
