Chappie for upset stomach

Stillstanding54 · 10/01/2025 10:43

My lab boy has a very upset tummy! 🤢
Hes a scavenger so suspect he’s eaten something rotten
I have tinned Chappie but the pack contains 2 varieties, chicken & rice and original
Is one ‘flavour’ better than the other?
He’s fine in himself just need to sort his stomach (&bottom) out asap
thanks

Mashed sweet potato or pumpkin is meant to help. I have a scavenger so always keep a tube of Prokolin in the house.
If you've a local pets at home might be worth seeing if they've any in stock..or vet might sell it.

I’m just off to pick up the paste stuff from the vets 👍😁

Sorry to hear about your poorly boy 🤒

I've always used the original chappie when one of our greyhounds was feeling dodgy, although (like you) we always pop down to the vet for peace of mind!

Hope he's feeling better soon.

Pro Kolin - is what he needs can usually get it either from the local vets or Amazon settles stomachs immediately it’s the only thing I’ve found that works

Yep Pro Kolin is what you need. The vet prescribed it for our lab/springer crosses when they had upset stomachs.
Smells better than wet chappie in and out too.

Either Chappie is fine. My DSis' old DDog had Pancreatitis and their Vet said to feed him tinned Chappie for a while and it worked for him.

When we got our rescue shortly after she came to us with a known upset stomach, super dry skin and suspected allergies. I tried her on the tinned Chappie to see if it helped and her stomach and skin have been fine ever since.
