Hello my fabulous Podsquad, here is Podcast Thread III.

For anyone that is new to this thread, it's about my rescue dog, known as Pod.

for if anyone would like to go back and see how astonishingly naïve and traumatised I was by taking on a fully grown, teenaged pointy dog who seemed determined to destroy me and everything I love.

Theatrics over, here is the Pod in question (obviously I've edited the lead out - I'm not mental).

Christ can you imagine. Like that bit in Marley and Me 🤣 And for those asking I was thinking I could book him into his kennel overnight for the wedding but they do offer a pick up service for extra ££. So as the hotel we're looking at is dog friendly my best friend could bring him to be in some photos and charm everyone then he could go play with his friends 😊

A shitty bump back down to earth this morning.

Poor ol' Pod had the poops a bit yesterday and he went in the kitchen overnight. I watched back on the camera and he was pacing around and whining but he didn't bark so I didn't wake up 😔

My poor boy! He looked all shame faced when I got up and saw the mess. He's had some plain chicken and a gentle sniffy walk and gone back to sleep.

It must be caused by his excitement at the thought of being a pagedog/ringbearer!

Did he have his normal food on his overnight holiday?

He did but I don't think he ate very much.

Poor little nugget. He's very happy with his chicken though.

Glad I slept on the sofa yesterday as Pod had a poonami at 1am. I wish he'd get on with it though as opposed to me mooching round the garden with him on a lead yawning in the rain in my PJs.

He was delighted to sleep next to me on the sofa last night, although he couldn't resist a blanket chomp at 4am, and then he sat on me, stealing the whole blanket in the process. My back aches and I'm knackered but at least he's happier. Pic for this morning's walkie.

At least he had his mum to sleep on when he had tummy ache 😊

Ungrateful fucker has reinstated his open field shark attacks today. I know he's not feeling well but still. Bloody bitey Shouty Kenneth.

A sore tum and he's forgotten he's supposed to be kind to his (nurse/chef/extremely patient teacher) mum!

Hopefully he'll be back to his happy, more gentle self when he's feeling better!

My friend who is a seamstress says if we get DP two wedding ties she will turn one into a bowtie for Pod 😊

Pod has been to the vets.

He's had water poops since kennels at the weekend but they keep being solid in the morning and I think he's better, then they go splatty again. He's got some probiotic paste. Hope it helps, he had me up at 12 and 2 this morning poor little lamb.

The probiotic paste really helps my dog when she gets diarrhoea. It does take a few days to settle down. Hope Pod feels better soon.

Poor old Pod - at least if they are solid sometimes that doesn't sound like anything too bad. Was worth checking with vet though, hope the probiotic paste helps.

My dog has the splats a lot and you can buy the Promax / Protexin paste from online vet suppliers without a prescription a lot cheaper. I always keep a tube to use as the first resort, though of course if it doesn't help we then see the vet. We also use the probiotic sachets called Fortiflora once per day. They were recommended by a behaviourist for his anxiety as well as digestion and they have definitely helped with both! Hope Pod feels better v soon, it's tough when they're poorly x

Pod has had a wonderful day. He skipped his morning walk in favour of sunbathing and then I took him over the clifftops on his long line. He didn't listen to a single word I said but had a grand old time sniffing out rabbits. A group of holiday makers stopped us and talked about him for ages. I noticed how bad is flakey skin is so went went to the pet shop for soothing treatment and fish oil (boak). He's unbelievably shiny now and smells like a delicious biscuit. Then he finished his day tearing around with Stanley and co. chasing eachother round and round in circles. Happy Pod 🥰
