Dog friendly London

CyprusRescueDog · 27/12/2024 13:01

We are planning a trip to London tomorrow with our dogs. We've been before and walked along the Thames (past St Katherine's dock) to the Prospect of Whitby pub (very dog friendly) and it was lovely.
We'd like to do similar - avoiding too many crowds if possible and either going along the river or to a park.
Any suggestions? Would come into Victoria, L Bridge or Charing Cross. Any recs for dog friendly pubs or restaurants with nice walks?

If you head east from London Bridge you can walk the river to The Mayflower Pub which is very cute and accommodates dogs. You can then nip in to Southwark Park (our dog loves this park), and then finally round to Bermondsey beer mile if you fancy - again all dog friendly and lots to see en route

Get the Uber boat from Embankment up to Greenwich, walk round the royal naval college and Greenwich market. Walk up/round through the 256 acre park to the cafe or go back down hill to almost any pub (the Feathers is dog friendly) as is both pubs in the market Smile

My dogs love the boat

Oh some fab ideas there - never thought of the boat! Thanks so much everyone, that's given us a great start

I live in Millbank and that is my dogs treat- he loves it. I get a day rover on the boat and do Millbank- Greenwich then down to Battersea Power Station (dog friendly) and back to Millbank

Just a warning- there are a LOT of untrained dogs in Greenwich Park whose owners think that being cuddly is enough. You will hear the phrase- Im sorry a lot!

Just looking at this option. What is the name of the road you call the Bermondsey beer mile? Sounds intriguing!
