FunnyFuzzy shut down

Just happened across this and thought I’d post in case anyone has been tempted by their “Black Friday sale” on very smart looking dog carriers. My Facebook feed is inundated with ads for them. They were forced to shut down a week ago but are still taking money on their website…

They come up on my instagram so much! I even messaged them to ask a question on one of their items. They didn't get back to me and I assumed they may be a bit crap, didn't quite expect this though

Oh shit. I ordered a sofa throw from them about a week ago... It has yet to appear.

I had an email promoting their Black Friday deal this morning

I'd just about given up, and then the postman rang the doorbell....

Also included was a free festive squeaky toy. the dogs can enjoy that, under supervision (though TBF they have never yet eaten a squeaker) on Christmas Day.

So glad it arrived. Plus bonus toy

I am still getting marketing emails from them

I'm not surprised. I ordered a huge car dog bed last month and it came really tightly vac packed, about 1/8th of the size of it. I opened it and it was too small, so I decided to ask to return it and order the bigger size. I emailed them and they said they don't accept returns unless in their original packaging- absolutely and completely impossible to do so as you had to cut the tightest vac packed parcel open and could never, ever redo it.

So I was stuck with a £120 bed which I would have spent a lot more on for the bigger size, but to be fair it is excellent quality and I don't regret it as its great (if small for the space).

However with that said...

That webpage says they've been made to cease trading and yet their website is still active and I've still been getting marketing emails about their christmas sale. So I'm going to email the address on the gov.uk site ([email protected]) and point this out!

They still seem to be trading? I'm constantly getting ads for them on social media. I ordered a bed before Christmas and it took about a month to turn up. Looked really lovely and a good fit for my golden retreiver but she had it shredded by the end of the day, material ripped away from one zip and another zip broken. She's a pup (6 months old when it arrived) but not particularly destructive, it's the first thing she's really destroyed. Disappointed as it was £80 down the drain 😑

Found this thread while googling the company. I think they’re a total scam, I ordered from them in May. Item still hasn’t arrived. They ignored emails so I raised a dispute with PayPal. They’ve given PayPal an invalid tracking number which just postpones everything as PayPal don’t seem to check whether the number is legit or not.

I emailed funnyfuzzy saying the tracking number is useless, they replied saying they’ve cancelled my order but won’t refund me until I close the PayPal dispute down.

No way am i falling for that, if I close the dispute down I can’t reopen it. I’m hoping PayPal eventually refund me. I’ve sent PayPal a screenshot of the email saying they’ve cancelled my order but won’t refund me. Total scam.

I don't understand why they're still trading when it said they'd been shut down.

My social media is still flooded with their ads because I bought something last year. To be fair it was great quality and we use it all the time but still, as seen from PPs above, they're super dodgy and certainly haven't ceased trading.

I finally got my refund today via PayPal. Funny fuzzy sent me emails asking me to close my PayPal dispute down and said if I did so they’d refund. I said no. They could refund and I’ll shut it, they ignored me when I requested that. I wasn’t confident they’d refund if I shut the dispute down.

I have just read this. I have just ordered from this company, after being recommended by someone. I'm.so annoyed with myself.
Have seem reviews so bad. I have just read the government shut them down in 2024. This is why I'm annoyed. I just needed a car seat for my dog.
So can I ask you, I have tried to report to PayPal. Obviously I have I wait until funnyfuzzy respond. Who have in fact sent me an email. Stating they are fully up and running, and the government have not ceased their business.
Please any advice on how I go forward with paypal ? How are these still allowed to advertise when they they don't exist.

I think they do exist. They have started up again with their head office now in china or somewhere so out of any uk jurisdiction. If your item doesn’t turn up PayPal will eventually refund you. Just do it all through PayPal. Don’t ever cancel the PayPal dispute no matter what funnyfuzzy say. If you close it down you can’t reopen it.

You’ll need to wait for the supposed delivery date. Then if it’s not there raise a dispute. Then I think it’s 25-28 days for PayPal to give them time and respond. So yes, could well be a couple of months before you get the money back because their delivery dates aren’t exactly quick either. You never know, the item may arrive. There do seem to be some positive reviews online.

Interestingly my parcel turned up today, eight months after I ordered it. I had a refund 6 months or so ago. Am wondering now if they will chase me for the money again. I don't actually want it now!!!!!!!

I had a really good quality waterproof (massive) dog coat from there about 3 years ago - it was about £50.00 but is very good quality and still going strong many, many washes later - maybe they used to trade in better quality stuff and have switched to cheaper import latterly?
