No!! Stop!! Too cute. Have tears in eyes! She is so gorgeous @pyreneanaubrie. Clearly too cute to have gotten into any mischief.

brushingboots · 27/11/2024 20:33

@PyreneanAubrie Oh my gosh, look at her!!

brushingboots · 27/11/2024 20:33

@Nella68 Welcome to our coven – what a gorgeous boy (and name, love it)!

She was a very good baby - she's making up for it now though 😈

Lemondog at 9 weeks

OMG, what a cutie 💓

Bupster · 27/11/2024 21:00

If we're doing throwbacks, here's my squidgy head at nine weeks when he'd just come home. Hilariously I saw this photo today - I'd sent it to our admin team at work and they have it printed out and pinned to the wall still 😍

Aw he's adoreable @Bupster. Those puppy eyes, ears and paws!
You mentioned that Bill and his siblings were all different temperaments from each other even when they were together. How did you settle on Bill?

PyreneanAubrie · 27/11/2024 21:15

Oh look at ickle squishy Baby Bill ❤

lookwhatyoumademedoo · 27/11/2024 21:22

Thankyou for the new thread @YorkshireFelix and for the add @brushingboots.
so many gorgeous pup pics 😍
I've been a bit absent from the thread lately, had a lot on with work, kids, pup and Christmas planning.
@PyreneanAubrie brie is beautiful!! It sounds like she had a brilliant time at the dog field, and for £5 you can't go wrong !! There's a dog field not far from us with a dog agility course, Max enjoys going for something different.
@brushingboots i'm keen to start gundog training after christmas, i've messaged the local one to us. I think Max will really enjoy working. He loves flushing out birds on walks at the moment as well as following scent trails.

brushingboots · 27/11/2024 21:43

Ahh I couldn't resist looking back to last summer to find pupsy's baby photos, but as I go through them I remember how chronically sad and stressed I was. Nothing anyone did could help me. I can't believe I ever hated her but I did, viscerally.

Here she is at 12 and then 13 weeks – on her first morning waking up at home, and then a week or so later using dog-dad's fleece as a blanket, getting used to sitting doing nothing in the truck.

Aghhh lemondog and baby bill 😭

Here's Vinny the day after he came home at the start of August, which has gone like a flash. Still looking as wise as ever!

@lookwhatyoumademedoo I'm sure he will absolutely love it! It's addictive and you can do so much of it without any equipment at all, though I bet the second he sets his eye on a rabbit ball he'll be obsessed!

PyreneanAubrie · 27/11/2024 21:48

Awww, so lovely to see little pupsy girl and Vinny as babies too 💕

Nella68 · 27/11/2024 22:13

Thank you for the welcome!

@LemonPalmTrees he’s small Labrador size, a couple of weeks ago he was 20kg but his growth has slowed down. I’m hoping he doesn’t get much bigger.

I love seeing all the puppy photos and how much they’ve changed.
This is Midge at about 3 months old- he looks like a stuffed toy!

@YorkshireFelix In fairness we do have two mega dog cars! That one is the more practical one – also have an even older truck where she has her own seat! Such a princess (though for safety she mostly lies on the floor which is a lot comfier than the front seats, it's fair to say).

It is a beast though. We had four spaniels and six people in it a few times over the summer which was certainly an experience.

@yorkshirefelix what a lovely pup. Such a beautiful face and expression. He does look wise. Funny how they change so much yet stay the same.
@brushingboots Shes beautiful.
The first photo of pupsy brings back memories for me of Lemondog at that age. Almost all my puppy photos are of him sleeping because when he was awake he was usually up to something like that. The do look cute but can be such terrors.
@Nella68 Midge really does look like a fluffy toy! What a handsome little pup. Small lab size sounds lovely size for a dog.

Mine didn't grow an awful lot more from 10mo on. I think he'd more or less stopped growing at 12mo although I'd stopped weighing him by then too.

brushingboots · 27/11/2024 23:07

@YorkshireFelix it is – the best and worst car in the world!

Pros: looks cool, small children wave at us all the time, can go literally anywhere on any surface, in any weather, with no dramas. Cons: no power steering, doesn't really go above 55mph, unflattering to get in wearing a skirt.

Wow! I had no idea. You always seem like such a natural with dogs.... I was just reading this here, and some posts on the other thread 😨 I feel so much guilt about my complacency. I had no idea how hard puppy rearing is for some people, and that it can have such an unsettling impact and reduce you to tears and desperation. I feel very conscience-stricken this morning😳I need to have a lot more empathy 😔Sorry xxx
