Anyone tried/using Yora (or other insect based protein) and has good things to say?

So rescue dog, of four months, has a couple of persistent issues with poo and skin that Vet has suggested could be allergy based. But as pinning down any protein allergy could be lengthy and difficult to determine, has suggested a totally different food regime that, he says, has had good results for other clients. It’s basically an insect based protein food. He has suggested Yora (who also, handily, do treats as well - as we are still working on training in various areas with him as he’s never lived in a home before). The Vet isn’t affiliated with the brand or anything, they don’t even sell it, so not too concerned he’s pushing it for a reason other than he thinks it actually might help.

Just wondering if anyone is already using it, or similar, and has had good results? Oh also, he came to us quite overweight and we’ve got 5+kgs off him since end of July, so that to consider too - porkiness!

I’ll pay the picture tax…..

We used Yora. Our dogs didn’t have allergies but it worked well for them. The labrador is worked quite well for because it was a slower release than the food he was on, so reduced the crazy spurts. It didn’t smell so good from that point of view. We’re not using it anymore but our dogs are quite active and we needed a higher calorie food for them but otherwise no complaints.

Hmmmm ok that’s interesting regarding the slower release aspect because my poor Goldie is constantly hungry. Might have an added benefit then.
