I've got 1 dog who is being licked by our other dog and is now infected. She won't stop him,
She loves him. Any attention she gets from him is wonderful so she just sits there and waits for him to stop.

We were keeping them separate which has caused a lot of upset. He's 16, she's 6. Lots of crying and howling.

I took them to our farm vet today and he spelled it out it's entirely the fault of the 16 yr old who won't leave her alone, so now she wearing a Christmas jumper with antlers on as it's all I could find and the antlers are scaring the 💩 out of the licker so that's positive! They can now at least share the same bed and be happy until she moves and the antlers scare him.

I asked the vet if a cone would work but as it's not the dog with the infection that is causing the issue, it's the one who likes the smell of the infection and is making it worse 🤢🤢🤢🤢 it won't work.

I’m assuming ear infection, unless I’ve misread the post.

So unfortunately she has an ear infection, hot red paws, a scaly smelly back and clipper rash on her tummy. Everything was low level and being sorted by antibiotics but obviously the cheesy smell of her manky ear and skin were too much for our other minger of a dog and he's made things way worse!

Oh poor wee dog. What about one of those recovery surgical suit type things. Not sure about the feet but they do ones with legs.

Poor dogs! It must be stressful for both of them. When one of ours had an infection after an operation the first indication something was wrong was the other dog constantly trying to lick it. It would be no fun for your girl but a rigid cone of shame would prevent your boy having such easy access to the ear.
