I need a washable dog bed!

I have smelly dogs (labs / spaniels)

So bored of buying dog beds that can't be washed, end up stinking so go in the bin.

I need a waterproof type mattress with a machine washable cover!

Please help me out anyone! Thank you.

Paws Trading do washable donut beds, though much past the large size and you might have a job getting them in a domestic washing machine as they don’t have a separate cover

I used a waterproof single duvet and a teddy fleece cover for my incontinent Collie

Get a solid plastic bed, a waterproof cushion and then put vet bedding on top. This is what I used to use for my spaniels when they went to the kennles

Most 'stuffed' fabric dog beds can go in the washing machine (as long as they fit)?

You can get large zip up wash bags for them (off Amazon) so they don't shed too many dog hairs into your machine.

Nikki's Nesties are brilliant. The wall and pillow are made from tough waterproof material and the covers are machine washable and can go in the drier. They are really easy to put on and take off. I would highly recommend them. We've had one for about 5 years for our two bulldogs and it's still going strong.

Tuffies.
Waterproof mattress or nest that you can hose down/ wipe down with disinfectant, and removable covers to shove in the machine. One of our Tuffies mattresses must be 10 years old and is only just showing any signs of wear. We're onto our second set of covers but only because one of our dogs wasn't happy until he'd had a good go at his bed.

Our old washing machine did not like those donut beds, I switched to the fleecy crate mats from Pets at home. Dog loves them, they are cheap, and wash and dry well.

Ours (Lab and spaniel) have the basic plastic beds with vetbed fleece in the base for night-time. In the sitting room we have a Ruff and Tumble bolster bed with a washable cover and ditto car pad with ditto. Unless you are feeling flush, wait for their sale. Nothing smells.

I use vet bed. The stuff we’ve got is over 20 years old and still going strong!

K9 comfort , they're not cheap , prob around the £80-£100 mark but I've got a 50kg Rottweiler & it's hands down the best bed I've ever had .
Washable covers , and they sell spare too,so 1 on, 1 in the wash kinda thing .
They often do discount codes so have a look at their fb page

omlet Dog bed. Comes with a cover that zips on and off the top to wash. Love ours. Two labradors. Wash it every few days and takes seconds.

We’ve a Bunty bed. It’s a large size so I need to wash it on two separate washes (inner cushion and then outer padded ‘frame’) and it doesn’t smell. Washes and goes in tumble dryer and comes out looking like new. V soft and both the dog and cat seem to love it. I do chuck a fleece blanket on the top which gets changed twice a week (just to make it a bit warmer, and to protect the cushion from mud if they’ve been in the garden).

Before this they had a smaller velvet bed from tk maxx - same thing, I would wash in two parts on two separate washes. It only cost £25, looked nice, and lasted three years. I only then chucked it as the padding became lumpy after a flea problem and id been boil washing it twice a weeks for two months so I ruined it.

Bunty do waterproof padded beds as well as we had the puppy version and it was brilliant. They usually have discount codes too online. Highly recommend these beds!

I’ve had those wainwrights ones from pets at home and had to chuck them after a few months as they just don’t seem to stand up to the washing machine and tumbler.

We have tuffies too! They last forever and can be easily hosed down. Amazing beds

Plastic bed with Bedsure Waterproof dog bed cushion on top (you can get them on Amazon). Cheap cheerful, easily washable and very well made. Dries within an hour or two in a heated room when you do need to wash. They also last well.

We have a spaniel and have this from Pets At Home.

Would highly recommend. The whole thing goes in the washing machine (in two parts, outer then cushion). Ddog has had it over two years, seems very happy in it and it looks the same as the day we got it.
