Small sore on paw

Two year old springer spaniel, I have booked an appointment at the vets for this, but would like some comments if anyone has had similar on their dog. I think this started Monday, she is obviously licking it a lot, I have tried covering it with vetwrap, but it was getting very wet on walks and going into the garden. She has no other symptoms whatsoever.

Thank you, I have just googled this and I think it could be, do you think she needs to go to the vets?

It’s obviously bothering her if she’s licking it, so may need antibiotics, as licking can make it infected. You are probably going to have to put a cone on her to stop the licking, so yes I would go to the vet for advise on treating it.

Yes I'd take her to the vets, they may be able to give you something to make it less itchy.

Yes, a hot spot - you can treat them at home but I would get it looked at as you don't want it getting worse over the weekend.

Thank you both
