Today, My dog's claim was rejected by perfect pets on the assumption made by them,that my Patterdale terrier broke her leg whilst playing.This was never mentioned ln the claim process.A complaint has now been activated.Avoid this company.

Why does it matter how her leg was broken (apart from a deliberate act of abuse)? My dog has been injured playing in the woods and insurance paid no problem. Definitely contest that and you need to go through your documents to check for exclusions. Even if that is specifically excluded I would argue it is an unreasonable clause.

Is it illness only and not accidents?

Some policies only cover illnesses, not accidents.

Ah of course. Makes sense if a dog is a bit older maybe. I'd never risk it.
