Hi took my dog to the vets last week and he has contact dermatitis on his scrotum, got antibiotics (course ended yesterday) have cream to put on and he has a cone, woke up this morning and he's worked out how to get to it with the cone on, any one know for other cones that are better? he has managed to lick the scab off over night.

Bigger cone or a suit may be better .

crumblingschools · 10/08/2024 12:26

Can you get one of those suits, we used that rather than a cone with our dog wherever possible

dogsdogsdogs1234 · 10/08/2024 12:28

do the suits cover their bits though?

Yes, so you have to unpopper them when they need to go to the toilet, they are like a baby grow. Used one when our dog was castrated

Floralnomad · 10/08/2024 12:33

You might need a lady dog suit to cover the bits

dogsdogsdogs1234 · 10/08/2024 12:56

Thank you all just ordered a suit for him

Just remember to roll it up when dog needs to toilet (spot the person who made that rookie mistake 😂)

haha fun times, I will be glad when the cones comes off too as hes not the smartest of dogs and walking into everything. My legs have seen better days.

The round blow up cones are good. Our dog much preferred it to the usual plastic one which he absolutely hated. They are also a lot more difficult to get off or get to wounds with.
