How often do your dogs need the cytopoint injection?

I know every dog is different but just asking out of interest. My pooch is currently on apoquel which we get online but as the vets prescription is £20 and the apoquel itself is £30+ we're spending over £50 a month on it. Not to mention that the vets are now requiring a consultation every 3 months which is £50! So I'm not wondering if cytopoint might be a bit cheaper. Especially if she only needs it every few months. Any experience with it? Does it work out cheaper?

Can’t speak for apoquel as never used that but our dog is allergic to grass so only suffers with his allergies 6 months a year, spring and summer. Our vet tried to get us to give it to him every 6-8 weeks but we went against his advice and decided to only give it to him when he gets itchy paws. We’ve been doing it for 3 years now and he seems to only need it once a year, early spring. So I would say it depends what exactly your dog is allergic to

Thank you for replying. Yes this is what I'm hoping for as well. I figure it can't hurt to try and if she requires it monthly then back on the apoquel we'll go. Fingers crossed she only needs it every few months or so.
