White noise machine for dog overnight?

I'm at the end of my tether with my dogs.

They're fine during the day, if they bark I just tell them to shush and they do.
When I go to bed they get stressed out by hearing people outside.
But it's mostly the other dogs in the area, there's a few that are locked out overnight and howl/bark which they respond to.
Then we have foxes that scream and they go mental at them.

It's 4.30 and I've been down several times to tell them to be quiet but they can still hear all the noises.

Has anyone tried a white noise.machine??

Not a white noise machine as such but I've played wave music/white noise on the Sonos speaker for the same reasons. You don't need a special machine for it.

A bit of an unconventional one but I leave the TV on for my two, or classical music on the radio. There’s also a “dog Spotify” which although odd🤣 they do seem to like and there’s lots of playlists. I find it helps them settle down and tbh I wouldn’t want to be sat in a room with no background noise and it might help them settle and ignore the noises a little.

We usually leave the radio on overnight.

If you look on Apple Music or YouTube, there’s ’calm dog’ playlists.

We play a white noise/rain track on Sonos. It’s really good for blocking out street noise and calming them down.

I've been playing brown noise on Alexa when we sleep (my puppy is in the bed with me at the moment). Now it really seems to help him during the day too - it excludes noise but also seems to signal it's sleep time.

I don't have a smart speaker and don't really want to leave the TV on all night.

The machines are cheap on amazon so I might try one.

Yes we have one and it does help.

I even take it with my on holiday as it helps me sleep as well (dog sleeps in our room).
