Hello, wondering if anyone has seen anything like this before?
Obviously I will be taking my girl to the vet but I'd love to hear some opinions as it's a bit of a strange one. It looks like a sunflower seed!

Is it helps she's an 8 year old greyhound (notorious for their manky teeth) brushed regularly but only just spotted this growth.

Any ideas?!

I don't usually associate tooth enamel with growths so this is weird.

Does it feel hard? Could one of her teeth have broken and the outer part sheared off, so what you are seeing is the dentine and pulp?

It looks like a broken tooth.

Primrosesanddaisies · 02/08/2024 16:05

Yes, it looks broken. If it has had an infection, then the root might have died and it won't be painful. It needs to be removed and I think you need to have a clean and descale and start daily maintenance. Tooth decay and bacteria can weaken a dog's internal organs so it is really important.

Embarrassing update : it was in fact something stuck on.
Thanks for the replies everyone Blush
