Chewing stones

When do puppies lose interest in picking up gravel? It's one piece after another whenever I let Brodie into the garden.
I'm sure he's doing it for treat swaps now, but I daren't ignore him.
This young pupper will be the death of me 🤣

My lab is 4 and every morning she chooses some ridiculously huge stone from the river and carries it back up the drive. She doesn’t chew it though just carries it.

My mum's lurcher never grew out of it. We called the stones her "chewing gum".

Mine grew out of it by about 1 from memory. Never swallowed any but you can't be too complacent!

Be careful they don’t swallow them, this killed a family members dog as a puppy :(

Our childhood Jack Russell carried stones all her long life and wore her teeth to stumps.

We tried EVERYTHING to stop it. She never grew out of it.
