Blue green algae

Hi. Partner joining boating club but notice signs warning of blue green algae. Won't be taking the dogs there but am worried toxin might be carried back on his shoes, hands or clothing etc. Worried dogs might come into contact with it via that means. Is that possible or does it take a certain quantity to do harm. I realise I sound paranoid but i suffer badly with anxiety!!

I wouldn't worry, just make sure he washes his hands before touching the dogs, and that anything that's been in the water is washed off too.

Rivers are usually okay. It's things like ponds and manky ditched that are a bigger concern.

If livestock are drinking from the water, it is probably fine.
