My beautiful dog is having her second (and last) season I didn't have her during her first one

But she is very lethargic and clingy ... is this normal ? And how much blood should I expect and how long for?
She is a lab / collie cross and very precious 😊

I had a Staffie, sadly no longer with us, who was a bit clingy and off her food and generally looked a bit miserable while in season. Like us having a period I suppose.
I can’t remember how long she bled for - a week and a half to a couple of weeks maybe. It was kind of watery blood. I have cream bed linen and let her on - and in - the bed as usual. It washed out and I figured that if she was feeling under the weather she needed her momma more than ever.
I guess you know about being very careful while walking her and not letting her off the lead?

@Papergirl1968 thank you 😊

Yes being super careful and just made the most of the park being quiet when the England game was on
She is definitely very clingy and snoozy but nothing can diminish the lab appetite 😊

Aww, bless her. Glad she’s eating well though.

Yes mine was lethargic, moody, miserable, off her food. I felt so sorry for her.
She also had a real attitude problem towards other dogs (ALL dogs) that lasted about 3 months after each season.
Had her spayed after her second season !

@Sonolanona she is definitely getting spayed poor thing she isn't enjoying her head walks at all
