If a front ankle lump comes up, will it be hard or feel like fluid?
We have a vet appointment scheduled but I'm worried its osteosarcoma.
The other day, Friday, our dog, a mastiff, 6 in September, started yelping when getting up on his bed (its raised). There was no indication of where his pain was for a while, just an occasional yelp. When I felt all over there was no swelling or flinching or yelping.
Slowly, since yesterday swelling has appeared on his front left leg. It feels like fluid rather than hard. It's getting bigger (Its noticable today rather than a squinter like yesterday) and he's stopped getting up on chairs and his bed. His bed is now on the floor and we are waiting for his appointment.
Our old mastiff had a large lump on her shoulder appear out of nowhere on a Friday, was taken to the emergency vet on the Saturday and diagnosed with osteosarcoma on the Monday and they gave her 2 months. We amputed and gave her CBD/THC and she had 6 months until quality of life declined and we PTS.
But I didn't poke and prod her and I can't remember what it felt like.
