Can a vet see original entries on microchip records if they have since been changed

When I got my rescue dog which I thought was a German shepherd dog the microchip records showed her breed as something other than a gsd so vet changed the recorded breed to gsd. I wasn't present so not sure what was originally recorded. Last week I had to have my dog PTS and the vet asked if she was pure gsd as vet thought she might be part husky. Now I'm wondering if the breed originally recorded on her records could have been gerbarian shepsky. When I check her records now with petlog I can only see the changed details. Would a vet viewing the records be able to see the original entries or would they just see the current details

More likely to have GSD cross or husky cross. Most of the database don't allow for these combination names.

Gerbarian Shepsky? Ffs. What nonsense. It’s not a breed. Her record might have said GSD cross, Husky cross or Crossbreed. Why don’t you ask the vet who changed it what it said originally?

Sorry for your loss.

I'd never heard of Gerbarian shepsky before a few days but it's listed as a breed on petlog. I doubt the vet would remember it was 6 years ago

If the vet changed it I’d assume it was because it was wrong wrong - like someone’s clicked something that’s very clearly a mistake and it said poodle or something equally not right.

They don’t quibble over mixed breeds usually, one of mine was in petlog as a collie cross because that’s what the rescue thought he was, his vet records said lab cross because that’s what they thought he was… not sure if he was actually either tbh 😂 but there was never any suggestion of changing it on petlog.

It’s not a breed 🙄 It’s a Siberian Husky x German Shepherd, ie a crossbreed.

No, the vets would not be able to see any previous details. The chip company would be able to see a log of all changes made to the chip details.

Thanks everyone.
At the time I assumed that it was clearly a case of the wrong breed being selected at registration but then wondered whether it could be that it could have been that no one recognised that Gerbarian Shepsky was being used to describe a GSD/Huskie mix. I know it doesn't really matter now but the thought has just got stuck in my head.
