Dog being an arsehole about foxes

Greyhound has decided we are in mortal peril from the foxes that cross the park beside out house in the evening. He paces, whines and mithers about if we don't let him out, but if we do, he'll race around the garden shouting out his defence of the property and waking local babies. It's our third summer with him but the first he's done this. I have blinds and doors between rooms closed to try to minimise his arseholery but it's not working. Do we just have to wait it out til autumn? (Also looking forward to less fox sex screeching about then 🙄)

Oh dear. We have this issue too, and we are moving from a large house to a small flat soon - I am really worried about the noise - hysterical barking as the foxes casually stroll across the front lawn. How does anyone stop their dog reacting to foxes?

Have you tried playing white noise to drown out any sound?

That's a good idea. Will try it.

Look on the bright side. Our greyhound rolls in fox poo in the garden…..

We've had foxes living under our decking for years, and I will often let the greyhound after his breakfast to find a fox lying in the sun on the lawn. A cheeky fox will often come closer to watch the greyhound squatting down and doing his business. The greyhound isn't happy, but he needs to go. Of no help whatsover to you op, but we have trellising and a gate between the back door and the rest of the garden. So the fox and the dog can see each other, but our dog doesn't know how to bark so he just stares.
