I've never known a year like it!
Yesterday I pulled out 3 grass seeds that had halfway lodged into the dog's skin, having pierced it. The grass seed was about 2cm long, so 1cm was already inside the dog enough for there to be the slighest blood tinge to the seed when removed.
I've just pulled out 8 more that were not so far in but all seemed to have their very tip into the skin layer as when I pulled them the skin kind of moved with the pull.
Perhaps a reminder to folks you may need to be checking carefully daily, especially if you have a long haired breed and/or walk in longer grass?
