Does anyone have any experience of this in their dog? How did the vet treat it?

Our dog has a medium sized one which we've only just noticed. Am going to try and get a vet's appointment today but we're about to go on holiday. He's going to a dog-sitter and I'm worried about onerous after care if he's not with us.

My dog had this twice.

Once when insured, operation recommended to drain. V costly.

Once when uninsured- recommended to let nature take its course! It did and blood reabsorbed in time.

To be honest, I wish I'd never put the dog through the first operation.

Thanks - surgery is my concern. I really don't want to put him through that.

Drained without surgery. No further treatment needed but she has a crinkly ear.

Went to vet's this morning. Drained, and steroids & drops given for underlying ear infection.
