Lump

Should I be worried about a small hard lump on the left side of my dogs throat? The groomer pointed it out to me but I don't know really what I should do? The lump doesn't move or hurt her when I touch it. It almost feels like what an Adam's apple would feel like on us but to the left of her. Thoughts??

Take her to the vets. People on mumsnet can only provide advice and even a vet can’t diagnose without seeing it. Better safe than sorry :)

My dog has a lump on his hip. The vet tested it and it’s a fatty lump, nothing sinister. We just keep an eye that it’s not making him uncomfortable.

Your vet can take a sample from the lump and check whether it’s a fatty lump lipoma or something to worry about. Best to do it for peace of mind.

We can't tell you - you need to see a vet. Hopefully it's nothing to worry about but it might need testing, or it might be a swollen gland indicating an infection.
