My friend's dog looks to have bite marks/wounds

I have posted a thread yesterday about a friend of mine asking me if I can help her find a temporary home for her dog.

She sent me some photos of said dog but they weren't very clear, so I went to look at her fb page to see if there were any others, and one of them shows the dog looking scared and upset-I zoomed in and it looks to have wounds.

I don't want to post the photo here for obvious reasons but would someone with a keen eye perhaps look at the photo if I sent it to them? Tell me if I am being paranoid or not?

If I'm right, I don't know what to do about it but I'd like a second opinion first.

I really don't want to look at the photo (sorry) but what is your concern - does your friend have 2 dogs? Has one attacked the other so she needs to separate them temporarily? Or are you suspecting your friend is abusing the dog directly?

What reason did your friend give for needing a temporary home and how temporary is temporary...I'd be worrying that in fact she's looking for a permanent re-home and would abandon the dog to its "temporary" new home.

Hi OP, feel free to PM me with the photos if you'd like.

I think you should help her find it a home either way. I’m not sure it will possible to tell for sure from a photo. It could have caught itself on something on a walk. I’d have a look though. I have two clumsy, thin skinned dogs!

I have just realised that it isn't possible to PM a photo. So unless anyone is comfortable with me emailing them it or using a different platform, I can't get a second opinion here. I'll definitely try to help her find it a home.

Are you afraid he's being used for fighting?

Your friend is the only one who can answer- whether he's seen the vet, living with another dog, or what.

It did cross my mind Sad or just being abused generally.
