My daughter has 2 Cavoodles. Daughter is adult with partner and a child.
First dog is a male, desexed, about 4 years old.
The other is a female, desexed about 2 years old.
The older one is the most placid dog, I’ve seen. Happy to see you,
but the younger one is soooo needy. Always has to be first to greet you at the door, it’s almost like ‘pick me’.
The dogs get on well together, play, sleep together. No fighting.
The needy dog, walks around with a small stuffed squeaky toy in its mouth, and also crying, whining at the same time.
The minute my daughter come home, Ruby is all over my daughter, crying, whining, over excited to see her. Poor Bingo doesn’t get a look in.
The Vet has suggested anti anxiety medication, but it’s not made any difference.

How long are the dogs left alone?

We have two labs and one is very needy and clingy to me. I'm out at work all day from 7-6 (husband works from home so they are very rarely left for more than a couple of hours) so she is always very very excited to see me. She's sensitive and highly strung sometimes but also the most loyal and loving girl, it's just who she is! We have tried calming herbal treats and keep a routine for her but it's just her temperament!

My dogs don't get any fuss if they are jumping about when I return! Ignore her until she learns she won't get any fuss until she sits! She will soon pick it up. All my dogs sit in a line when we walk in lol

Dogs do have a hierarchy between them .Often the female is “Boss”, likes to go outside first, be fed first -
My friend has Nine dogs, and they all have their position in the pack and know their places within it.

They are called individually for treats &c

Wait til they are both quiet before greeting them.

Dogs are competitive for attention.

The human has to be in control.
