Dog panting?

Still fairly new to dog ownership...
It's quite (suddenly) warm here today (uk) and DDog is panting quite a lot... we're not doing much, just hanging out in the conservatory with the doors open...

He's a terrier X so not a flat face type

Is anyone else's dog feeling the heat today or should I be worried?

So panting could just be that he's hot, and totally normal. But I would mention that for our dog, lots of panting is usually becuase her blood pressure is very high (she has some blood pressure problems.). But she is an old dog. But I mention it as it's not that hot I don't think.

Either way, a cooling pad can be every helpful - our dog takes herself off to hers when she's getting all panty and it's so cute actually that she knows it will make her feel better. In the proper summer she also has a cooling neck-chief thing which is super adorable, AND effective.

You're right, it's not hot "hot", just suddenly warmer than recently...

We've moved into sitting room which is cooler, to see if that makes a difference...

Conservatories are often far too warm for dogs unfortunately.

I'm such a prat

He's stopped now we've moved rooms (even though I didn't think it was that warm in there!)

Lesson learned- thanks everyone x
