Ddog has been peeing a lot. Was in heat so put it down to that. Now noticed she has lost weight. Wears a jumper 24/7 so hadn't noticed.. Vet appointment Fri morning. Unreasonable I know but she is my favourite.. We have a few... She is 10 and never been off food - still isn't. Or been unwell whatsoever.. Still is her usual self.

Could be diabetes - not great but manageable.

Is she drinking/eating/walking/sleeping normally ?

idontlikealdi · 10/04/2024 13:32

Diabetes?

DDog is diabetic, drinking a huge amount was the only symptom.

Is she peeing a lot?

idontlikealdi · 10/04/2024 13:33

Sorry, misread peeing as drinking. Flip that to has she been drinking a lot?

Drinks are large amounts but not too often. Usually small drinks quite rarely as a rule. I have 2 odd ddogs don't drink much... Fine in herself.. Food still the key to her life....

Could be cushings disease.

Ddogs coat is still lovely.. No sign of being poorly at all. No pot belly.. Am mentally tallying up potential costs....

Vet scanned her and found a possible polyp on her bladder... Biopsy booked Thursday...
