Ðog peeing on garden furniture

Just a quick question...how can I deter my dog from peeing up against my garden furniture...one of which is a coffee table. I have a very small garden basically an oblong with no obvious divides where I could cordon off my summer furniture. I don't want to have to take my furniture in and out of my garage all.symmer or when I let him out for a wee every time. So I was just wondering if anyone knew of any deterents that have proved effective. Ps he is 18 months old.

Buy something like ‘Off’ or Clean & Tidy ‘don’t pee here’ & spray liberally.

Alternatively wash with a solution of bleach ( test first) .

You need to get rid of the smell of the existing wee. I find mine won’t pee over a bleach smell - I have used that on the bins after some dog pee’d on them in the street ( I assume it was a dog )

My dog likes to pee up against my garden hammock legs, I now put little flower pots around the legs, this seems to stop him.

He pees on my flower pots too!🙄But I'm less bothered by them than my garden furniture.

Dearg I will.have a look for the suggested products and see how we go. 🙏

Bleach won't work as it smells of ammonia - which is basically what wee smells like.

I don't think a lot of the sprays will work outdoors unfortunately due to the weather - your best bet is either fencing off the patio or training him not to do it.

Spray white vinegar on the legs?

I'm puzzled, I can see that the flower pots enforce a certain distance from your hammock (!) but can your dog walk alright with flower pots around his legs?

Although I suppose the slight clanking sound gives some sort of advance warning...

Spray white vinegar on the legs?

I will give this a go...he tried to eat my chips the other night which had been liberally sprinkled with vinegar and he was sneezing a bit afterwards so it might do the trick.

Bleach is a chlorine product - sodium hypochlorite- so actually neutralises the ammonia smell.

Not at all relevant but has reminded me of a lovely memory of my old ddog (gone three years and I still miss him) when PP said about putting plant pots as a deterrent.

Ddog was a very tall staffie. Not long in my new house, I let him out and watched as he reversed up to a raised planter, put first one back leg and then the other into it, front feet on the floor, and then had a ceremonious, mid air dump onto my plants!

This is the same dog who would find a single leaf on a lawn and poo very accurately on it 😂

Give him an alternative to pee against and lots of enthusiastic praise when he goes there - a post or box or something.

My boy pees up my rotary line cover. Screeching like a banshee deters him but may try some of the ideas on here.

Bitter Apple spray they don't like them smell. Spray anything that you don't want them to ruin with that. X
