Bone tumour

Firstly, I’m sorry if this is upsetting for anyone. I’m wondering if anyone has any experience of a dog with a bone tumour? Back in December my collie did something to her back leg - long story short, but she was eventually booked in to have an implant to fix the joint, but the X-ray picked up a tumour so they couldn’t do it.

We were given the option of amputation but she is 14 years old and already riddled with arthritis, so we decided to let nature take its course, and be ready to take her to the vet when the time comes.

But I have no idea how long it will take or what this will look like. At the moment she doesn't seem to be in any pain. She is eating, jumping up on the sofa for cuddles, still wants to go out for a walk (though this is just a quick hobble round the block). It just feels horrible not knowing how long we have left with her, or what the end might look like.

So I wondered if anyone else has been through this..?
