We got our 1yo pup spayed on Friday. She has recovered really well and today is acting more like her normal, lovely little self. However, she's a bit daft and I'm terrified of her opening her stitches. I knew from the moment she was back to normal she would be more difficult to keep calm and she's proving me right. She's currently rubbing her ears on her bed but she's so vigorous with it! I'm scared she's going to do something so enthusiastically and really end up hurting herself. I'm not sure how to keep her calm. She doesn't want to be sat on the couch with me, she did that yesterday and is clearly bored of it! She's ready for playtime.
Has anyone got any hints and tips to keep her settled? I'm hoping after her 10 day check that the vet will sign her off for a good walk but that leaves me 8 days to try and chill her out!!

Speak to the vet as they can give a sedative if you’re concerned she’s at risk of popping stitches by being to active

lots of quiet crate time, frozen kongs, long lasting chews and some calm treat finding may be worth a try

ask the vet when you can do quiet sniffy walks as a few short walks may help break her day up

Thank you. We see the vet on Monday so I will ask them what they recommend. I love seeing her back to herself but my god I worry about her!!
