What lead with a large dog?

I've been using a horse lead, nylon, thick, long up to now but it has given up the ghost [the ring snapped) yesterday. What do you use? Prefer the ones with a handle on the end, using a spare at the moment but it is one that sort of clips onto itself so it is two lengths of fabric with a loop, I find it difficult to keep hold of while running.
Tia :)

I use double ended ones tbh, gives you more options in length, you can make them have a handle if you prefer, or fasten it round your waist .

and gives you two points to connect on the dog if needed.

I second the double ended leads. I use a halti brand lead which is soft; it’s kinder on my hands.

For running I had a soft bungee lead with a cuff/ glove like handle which I could wear on my hand for close running, and a waist belt to which I could attach the halti.
But to be honest I mostly ran forest tracks where he could be off lead - better for both of our joints.

Yeah it’s halti ones I have, a small size training one for my collie and the larger control one for my bigger dog.

I have wolfhounds and use double ended leads from Essenjay. They are bridle leather and hand stitched to prevent fraying.

I also like the double ended halti ones. They are also great if you are eating out, to fasten around a table leg.

Thank you all-going to haev a look at all mentioned.
I did have a soft 'kind to hands' lead at one point too but Ddog bit through it while playing with a stick and 'catching' lead instead of stick!
