New foods given puppy the runs, should I persevere?

She was on millies wolfheart dry but she's a 9 month old chihuahua and I think the kibbles were too big and she just lost interest completely.

Got here naturediet wet food for the last 3 days and her poops are liquid.

Is that just due to the change over or is she just not compatible with it?

Should I hold out a few days?

Best to introduce a new food slowly, offering say 1/4 new food and 3/4 old food and increase the new, decrease the old little by little. Put the kibble in a bag and bash it with a meat tenderiser or something to make the pieces smaller, and then mix it with a bit of the wet maybe.

wet food will make poo looser if the dog is used to dry food so maybe add a bit of wet in gradually to get your dogs tummy used to it. or you could try a different dry food that your dog likes

It does have to be a gradual change over to a new food, especially if you're going from dry to wet.

There are small breed dog kibbles designed for tiny mouths, like the Burn's one.

I agree that you’ve transitioned too quickly . FWIW my dog is on Nature Diet wet and his poo is excellent .

You need to go really slowly when swapping food.

You need to go really slowly when swapping food.

I realise that now but it's already done.

Poops have firmed up now.
