Protecting stitches after surgery

My dog requires surgery to remove a lump from her anus (perianal adenoma) and due to the location the vet suggested that she might need a cone to protect the stitches. I'm really not a fan of the standard plastic elizabethan collars so I'm looking into other options - the softer/flexi collars, the blow-up ones, or a recovery suit.

Any opinions on what might work best to protect her butt? I will of course be watching her closely but she's a little monkey!

I think the softer versions of the traditional plastic cone type collar would be your best bet. Because of where the wound is, with the padded ring style collar, there's a chance with judicious positioning she could still get at her bum! Similarly with the suit, I just don't think I would trust it! Especially overnight when you cant keep an eye on her.

The soft cone collars are what I've used twice for my dog now and they've worked well.
