Can chicken have been affecting dogs behaviour?

Hello. I have a 4 year old cockapoo who we’ve had some difficulty with behaviour wise. Reactivity outside the house and somewhat grumpy and temperamental when faced with certain triggers inside. We feed butternut box. About a month ago without really thinking about it we stopped getting the chicken one and I am pretty sure I’ve seen an improvement in his behaviour. Could it be linked?

Well, lots of dogs are intolerant of chicken, it’s the most common dietary allergen in northern hemisphere dogs apparently.

any allergy is going to make you grumpy and irritable. So if you’ve found something that works even a little bit, go with that.

having said that, loads of the cockapoos I know are reactive and have a wide range of weird environmental triggers. So do lots of other dog types, maybe I just know a disproportionately high number of cockapoos
