Calcium deposits in eye

Hi, does anyone have any experience of this with their dogs. I have a little 16 year old Jack Russell cross- generally very good for her age.

But developed weepy eye. Was treated initially for conjunctivitis but didn't improve. Swabs show no bacterial infection anyway and she does have a white spot in her eye.

Has had a pressure test to for glaucoma and that's clear.

She has cataracts but thats to be expected. Vet is now wanting further tests and possible burring off of calcium deposit.

I did also read that a topical calcium binding drop can be used instead. Anyone have experience of this?

Obviously I am still being guided by my vet but I'm keen to avoid invasive treatments. Thanks in advance.
