Which food do you feed your pug dogs on? Looking at changing our boys food. Currently on Tails

I had both of mine on various things over the years but settled on Harrington's Lamb. Not the best and not the worst. Solid poos and mid price range. If I could have afforded it I'd probably have gone for Lily's Kitchen. Have had 3 pugs and all extremely greedy. One had a fast metabolism, the other slow so used to get less in her portion. Treats were carrots and broccoli, occasionally blueberries and strawberries to help keep weight stable.

Don’t have a pug but Tails and Harringtons both nutritionally poor, tails more so. Loads of pointless low quality carbs in both.

you can look for any dry extruded or cold pressed foods that contain a much higher quality meat or fish content. They are likely to be cheaper or on a par with Tails but slightly dearer than harringtons.

The All About Dog Food website is a useful starting place but check out the ingredients yourself.

AllAboutDogFood is a great resource but it does need to be taken with a pinch of salt.

Not all dogs suit the same diets and you do have to balance budget with quality and what your dog will actually eat.

Harringtons wet food is also fairly decently on there Smile

Raw...they smell marginally less bad when raw fed
