We've had about darling dog since she was 10 weeks old and almost 13 years later we're saying goodbye. A difficult decision but the right one for her. Our appointment is at 1pm today.

We have a DDog2 - a one year old who keeps us on our toes - but unlike children I think it's OK to have a favourite dog and DDog1 is definitely that Sad

No idea what to expect at the vets, or after, as this is the first pet we've had PTS so it's overwhelming and so incredibly sad Sad

So sorry, have you decided if you are bringing her home, it may help dd2 to see and process dd1, they grieve too.

We're enjoying a final few hours and a nice walk (well, drive/carry to favourite walking spot - she's not mobile enough for a walk) then coffee, cake and a treat at our local cafe. All whilst wearing massive sunglasses to hide our blotchy faces

Regarding what to expect when my old boy was pts due to cancer he was taken away to have the canula? Put in and then given a sedative
I was then brought in and given a long time to say goodbye

I'm so sorry your having to go through this
