Is this fleas???

son brought in two cardboard boxes from work. They had insects on them so I threw them straight out. Now my hubby has declared that the dogs have fleas. I have flead them and washed all bedding on my house
Amy ideas on what type of insects these could be, if they're are any??

Fleas are tiny, reddish-black, shiny insects about this size: (---). You might see them moving about in the fur next to the skin. They also leave dirt and eggs around, little black specks. You might find these in places like inside the dog's thigh near the body, or around the foldy bits in the dog's ears.

No, but the younger one was lying on him this morning and he was petting him. He then had an itchy hive. So, that was the automatic conclusion. So I've flead my two dogs, but for some reason, I think it was those flippen boxes! I did see insects on them. But don't know what they could be??

No, no bites on us, but we did feel itchy. And my son kept saying I feel like ants are crawling

Oh, OK. Then yes, quite possibly! It's such a pain when they turn up but I wouldn't normally expect they'd hang out in a cardboard box. More likely something fluffy like a rug.

The only other thing I'd do would be to get a carpet spray and make sure you've got all your carpets and rugs.

Yes, I have sprayed all my chairs, beds and anything else with fabric, that I can't fit in the washing machine.... thought they were fruit flies, lmao.🤣🤣🤣
