Just out of interest. We have 6 year old golden retriever, never claimed on insurance and it’s just gone up to £72 per month.
What do you pay?

£29.57 for a GSP x Lab so not a pedigree/pure breed

He's 7

I'd say a bit more than we paid at that age, but I don't know if you pay more for a retriever (hips etc).

Depends on how much you're covered for, and what excess you pay etc.

Our last dog was around 30kg and when he was 6 I think we were paying around £55 a month for £15k annual cover.

When he got older, that went up to £89 for £7k of cover, but we had claimed on it so it went up loads and we negotiated it. We also agreed to pay £130 excess and 20% of claims.

Just had the renewal through
£600 / yr. 9 years old. Insurance has a £3000 / 12 month limit for any illness. Pet Plan. If we try and claim we will have to pay the first £100 plus 20% of the bill.
Have never claimed.

Am currently looking around for a better deal.
